The officials from the Directorate of Public Relations and Corporate Affairs witnessed the arrival of the 50 new containers containing building materials meant for finishing at the construction site.

The management of Nile Petroleum Corporation under the leadership of Dr. Chol Deng Thon Abel (PhD) is seriously monitoring the progress of the Corporation’s Headquarters building and the contractor, Zhonghoa Overseas Co. Ltd is committed to finishing the building on time.

The construction works ongoing currently at the site as seen today by the team from Public Relations and Corporate Affairs includes;

  • Installations of AC system in both concrete and steel
  • Installations of internet system (cables, ducts, etc.)
  • Construction of boundary wall, demarcation and parking lots
  • Preparation of access route to the basement parking lot
  • Preparation of all site works for installation of fire-fighting system throughout the building

Furthermore, the arrival of fifty containers of building material has boost the work and solidified the progression of the construction of the NILEPET headquarters’ building. It is inevitably clear that the building is going to finish within the time frame as emphasized by the Chief Executive Officer and the Managing Director, Dr. Chol Deng Thon Abel. The CEO/MD Dr. Chol Deng Thon Abel has given the ultimatum to the contractor to finish the building within the second half of the year, 2022.

The prearranged regular site visit by the top management led by the CEO/MD Dr. Chol Deng Thon Abel, proves that the engineers are incredulous thus, making the contractors speed up the construction works. There has been increase of workforce by the constructing company with arrival of professional engineers from china early this week. This is a cornerstone in the progression of the construction of the NILEPET Headquarters since the engineers will supplement the already available workforce at the site.

Conclusively, the management is gearing towards achieving its vision of having “The Art Building” to house host the corporation’s Headquarters as enshrined in the vision of the Chief Executive Officer and the Managing Director, Dr. Chol Deng Thon Abel with support from H.E Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit, president of the Republic of South Sudan.
