HUMAN RESOURCE DEPARTMENT

Human Resource (HR) department is responsible for the recruitment of employees, their compensation, benefits, employee relations, training and development, maintenance of safe working environment and enforcement of labor law.

Recruitment

The success of recruiters and employment generally is measured by the number of positions they fill and the time it takes to fill those positions. They advertise job postings, source candidates, screen applicants, conduct preliminary interviews and coordinate hiring efforts with managers responsible for making the final selection of candidates.

Maintaining Safe Environment

NILEPET has an obligation to provide safe working environment for employees which is one of the core functions of HR to ensure workplace safety, good working environment for all employees and NILEPET Corporate responsibilities are maintain.

Employer-Employee Relations

Employee relations is the HR discipline concerned with strengthening the employer-employee relationship through measuring job satisfaction, employee engagement and resolving workplace conflicts.

HR Compensation and Benefits for Employees

HR functions include setting compensation structures, payroll standard and motivation schemes for all employees. In conjunction with Insurance companies, HR works to ensure provision of health insurance to NILEPET employees (inpatient and outpatient).

Employees HR-Manual and Labor Law Compliance

Human resource execute NILEPET HR-policies with compliance of labor Law Act, 2017 and Civil Services Act, 2011. Disobedience can result in workplace complaints based on unfair employment practices, unsafe working conditions and general dissatisfaction with working conditions that can affect productivity and ultimately, profitability. HR staffs ensure employees shall understand the applicable laws of South Sudan Labor law Act and many other rules and regulations which governs working employments.

Training and Development

It is the responsibility of Human Resource in collaboration with Training Development Center to provide employees with tools necessary to succeed, which in many cases, means giving new employees extensive orientation to help them transition into NILEPET organizational culture. HR department also provides leadership training and professional development.

HR provides professional development opportunities to employees looking for capacity development.
