SOUTH SUDAN NATIONAL OIL & GAS CORPORATION (NILEPET) GETS A NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR

NILEPET IN NEW ERA, UNDER MANAGING DIRECTOR ENG. BOL RING MUORWEL

The President of the Republic of South Sudan H.E Salva Kiir Mayardit appointed Eng. Bol Ring Muorwel as the new Managing Director (MD) for Nile Petroleum Corporation (NILEPET), marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the growing national oil & gas corporation.

Eng. Bol Ring came with a wealth of experience and a proven track record in management. He has been a pivotal member of the management team of NILEPET. He was previously the President of Nile Drilling Ltd, a subsidiary of NILEPET which he led from plan on paper into real and tangible institution that is currently generating more resources for the mother company NILEPET. Therefore, NILEPET family and the nation expect the same spirit from Eng. Bol Ring to take NILEPET into next level.

The appointment will see Eng. Bol step-up to lead the delivery of NILEPET’s ambitious growth plans, developing South Sudan oil & gas sector through an ever changing and increasingly challenging industry. Eng. Bol succeeded Dr. Chol Deng Thon, who previously led the Corporation and had played a key role in its growth over the last three years.

Speaking during his welcoming day to the office, Eng. Bol said, “I am honored and excited to have been selected to lead this important institution for the nation. I extend my thanks and appreciation to H.E President Salva Kiir Mayardit, Hon. Nhial Deng Nhial, the chairman of NILEPET Board of Directors and Minister for Presidential Affairs, and to all NILEPET staff in their various capacities. I also thank the former MD. Dr. Chol Deng Thon for the great work he has done. I didn’t come to destroy what has been done but to start where my predecessor stopped in taking NILE PETROLEUM CORPORATION to the next level.”

Eng. Bol Ring, emphasized that his main role will be to fully supervise all activities of NILEPET in coordination with Director Generals (DGs) for effective management of NILEPET and its affiliated subsidiaries. He urged any staff that has any advice to enjoy the open-door policy of his office.
